Brooke +Ryan
Sunday, October 31, 2010 at 03:04PM Every once in a while, we get to do a wedding completely out of the Salt Harbor box. This was one such wedding. Everyone here at Salt Harbor fell in love with Brooke and Ryan. They were simply an adorable couple with a slightly hippie vibe and they were such fun to work with! Brooke had lots of great ideas and pushed us to do new things. The wedding was held at the Harbourside Pavilion at Bald Head Island. Great photography by Jagger Photography-- totally the perfect style for this couple!

Brooke found an image of long lengths of macramé roping and wanted to know if we could do something similar for the ceremony backdrop. We spent hours tying hundreds of feet of rope for this project and the result was so different! Oh, and just look at that dress! How great!

For the guest book, we encouraged to write notes on lengths of paper and add thier messages to the paper chain.

For centerpieces, Brooke wanted an ecletic mixture of bottles. A few weeks before the wedding I came across 500 old bottles, still covered with dirt from being dug up. We purchased them and have been slowly cleaning them ever since. They worked great for this wedding.

Clients request blankets on the lawn a lot for weddings and sometimes, no one uses them. This was not the case for Brooke and Ryan's reception. At one point during the reception, the tables were completely empty because everyone was out on the lawn!

This image looks straight out of the 70's!

Behind the DJ, we hung old records.

These chandeliers mimicked the macrame so well!

Thanks so much Brooke and Ryan for letting us share your big day! It was so much fun!
