Farren + Kevin

I would never describe Salt Harbor's style as girlie and before this wedding, I might have doubted that we could pull off such a girlie wedding.  But we did, and with Farren's lovely taste, it was not as difficult.  Farren and Kevin met in high school and continued to date throughout college and so they wanted a youthful, fun feel along with plenty of pretty vintage touches.  The wedding and ceremony were at Airlie Gardens

On the wedding day, it looked like rain was inevitable, so we added a ceremony tent.  A half hour before the wedding with not a cloud in the sky, we made the executive decision to move the ceremony site to a spot that was not tented.  I am so glad we did!  The spot and the light were just incredible, even better than the original plan!

Sand ceremonies do not have to be tacky!  My suggestion-- use natural sand and find pretty containers!

Most brides never see what goes on behind the scenes to create their day.  Farren's flowers all arrived more of a purple pink (flowers are unpredictable sometimes), which would have been terrible with these dresses!  We sent them all back and overnighted a new batch which came in the perfect shades of peachy pink.

Orchids, roses and peonies made for sweet bouquets.

For cocktail hour, bocce and cornhole were a hit!

Long tables create an old fashioned family-style reception.

Each napkin included a menu card and photobooth ticket.

We added these wish catchers (old-fashioned cootie catchers) at the last minute and has so much fun putting them together for Kevin and Farren.

Nicki's cake was just stunning!

There was no alcohol at this reception, so fun drinks were placed in large despensers for guests.

Escort cards were postcards that included a description of the importance of each place to the couple.

For the guest book, guests were encouraged to write Farren and Kevin a short letter.  We wrapped bottles in old letters for the flowers.

Chocolate Pretzel Favors displayed in old drawers.

At the end of the night, Farren and Kevin left in this adorable vintage car!

Thanks to Millie Holloman Photography for the amazing images!
