ST. THOMAS WEDDING
Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 03:46PM Sarah and Shawn are two of the sweetest people I have ever met, and they are completely smitten with each other! They only gave us about two and a half months to plan their big day, but they were absolutely amazing to work with and their day was simply wonderful. Thanks to Millie Holloman Photography for all the fabulous photography!

St. Thomas is a lovely venue-- an old church that is completely empty and serves as a great blank canvas for events. The only catch is that when it is the site for both the ceremony and reception, then we must "flip" the space in exactly one hour!

If you are around Salt Harbor long enough, you will find one of our treasured helpers! Jane Roberson, "Miss Jane" or "Mama Jane" as we so fondly call her, directs many of our weddings. She is an incredible lady whose ability to handle a crisis, manage tension, and lead the day always amazes me! Here she is making sure that veil is just right before Sarah walks down the aisle.

For flowers, Sarah wanted a burgundy mixture of roses, callas, and orchids.

Steve Peterson from High Performace Lighting hung a chandelier over the alter area and we created alter with the old wooden bar that is at St. Thomas.

Guests went across the street to the City Club for cocktail hour while we turned the ceremony into the reception. It is always neat to watch guests reenter the room when we have set all the tables and transformed the space.

Instead of a cake, Sarah wanted a table of sweets. South N' France created these amazing bon bon towers and City Club made chocolate covered strawberries. Coastal Cupcakes provide red velvet cupcakes that were so delicious!

Thanks to all the vendors who worked so seamlessly together to create a great night!
