DANIELLE + JOSEPH

Danielle and Joseph were recently married at Airlie Garden.  The couple loves the out doors and are always hunting, fishing, and hanging out at the family farm.  While Danielle chose the formal gardens as her venue, she wanted to incorporate lots of rustic touches with  a hint of farm inspiration.  Gorgeous photos by Brent and Amanda at Millie Holloman Photography

A few years ago,  my dad made this great little wooden row boat that we now use as a beer cooler.  Danielle and Joseph love the water and to fish and wanted to add a hint of nautical to their otherwise woodsy wedding reception.

Boutonnieres are one of my favorite parts of the job.  The groom wore a few pink ranunculus and the groomsmen wore a sprig of heather with a fern curl and cluster of berries.

BETSY + CORY

Betsy and Cory were the cutest couple and totally in love!  Besty wanted colors that represented them-- colorful, vibrant, and cheerful.  The dresses were turquoise and she wanted to incorporate bright yellow and hot pink.  You can't help by smile at this color combination-- it is so happy!  Millie Holloman, as always, rocks my world with her photography!

Cory is a golf pro, so we had to get throw in some golf tees, displayed among the flowers in antique turquoise mason jars.

BALD HEAD ISLAND

Anne McGowan sent over some lovely photos of florals and table tops that we recently designed for a wedding at the Schoal's Club at Bald Head Island.  This client wanted a vibrant, fun combination of navy and shades of pink with a touch of sea shore.

SHELLY & CHRIS

Shelly and Chris were recently married at Orton Plantation and celebrated afterwards at the Roudabush Room in downtown Wilmington.  Shelly was a joy to work with and we're so glad she let us share her day!  Tom Sapp sent over some great shots of our designs.

Nicki, as always, did an amazing job on the cake!

This is my new favorite element for events!  It is an easily-removed plastic that can be adhered to walls, windows, doors, or dance floors to customize a space.  Here, we used them on the front doors so that guests could easily find the reception among the buildings downtown.

Tuscan Dinner

Rehearsal dinners are often a really fun part of what we do at Salt Harbor.  Many times, the couples are more willing to be creative with the rehearsal dinner, since it is typically a less formal event.  For this rehearsal dinner, the clients wanted to incorporate a Tuscan feel reminiscent of their travels through Italy.  We incorporated lots of rosemary, sunflowers, and textured grasses and greenery, and used artichokes to prop up the table names.  The escort cards were placed into corks and tucked between sprigs of rosemary.  Thanks to Kevin Millard for the photographs!
